When I finished my Ph.D in 1965.I rewarded myself  with the purchase of Beaulieu regular 8 mm camera. This was the only 8mm camera
 with a true  'through the lense'  view finder. This eliminates paralax and permits precision focussing of close ups. I then started experimenting
 with  animations and close-up nature shots.

Spiders were a favorit subject for me because their activity is confined to their web I also did films of infusoria through a microscope.
