Dear reader, whoever you may be and by whatever chance you may have happened upon these pages, know this : I joined humanity in Vienna anno domine 1923 and I am a peripatetic dilettante in the arts and sciences.
These web pages contain family histories & photos (some of these histories may be of interest to persons with European roots and to people who have been touched by the conflicts characteristic of that continent.
There are some excerpt from short stories selected from a collection written during idle moments of a lifetime. More recently I added some newer stories and poems
I also present some images of puppets I used in my animations . They represent ethnic characters made of painted acorns and pistachio shells. The puppets are held together by pipe cleaners for 'frame-by-frame' animation. My characters have acted out stories in a series of 20 minute TV shows that ran for several years on local channels in the Boston area. see sample clips
I have also included photos of some of my Ceramics.
My interests are diverse; You may find me in the pages of The Proceedings of the American Physical Society, in the Journal of the IEEE and in the Journal of the PSA (Photographic Society of America ). With greater diligence you will find traces of my doings in the recorded deliberations of the 'Advisory Committee for the Definition of the Meter', a subcommittee of the International Bureau of Standard in Sevres France, where I contributed to the redefinition of the "Meter" and its replacement with a standard of length based on time and the speed of light (In effect, the light second).
Have fun...
